Can open work permit holder take part-time program?

Hello everyone.

I have an open work permit which says;

Unless authorized, must not attend any educational institution or take any academic, professional or vocational training course.

Am I allow to take a part-time course at continuing studies program at college?

If it is OK, I am thinking to study something at evening or weekend.

You need to ask this question and confirm with CIC (who issued you the open work permit). Call up CIC or consult an immigration lawyer. They can give you BEST and correct information.

1. You need a study permit to study in Canada. With the issuance of a study permit, you will automatically lose your work permit.
