can North Portal issue a renewed work permit?

hi im living in Sask, my work permit ran out on the 22nd novemeber i extended my stay before it ran out by applying for visitor visa (advised by Sask immigration), i have SINP work support letter and job offer, (same employer i worked for for the past 2 years of work permit) i've stopped working but need to get back to work asap (mortgage, bills). i haven't applied for a work permit as the cic website says im ineligible to apply.. i have been told with all my documents (nomination support letter, job approval letter, and visa application proof, not yet approved) buy Sask immigration that i should be able to go to North portal now and they should be able to re-instate me with another work permit. the idea makes me nervous going to North Portal without any visa in affect yet. I currently have no status still waiting for either PR application and visitor application to be finalized. can the north portal issue a work permit or does it have to be applied through cic website? Any experiences,guidance or advise would be very appreciated. thanks

My husband and I got our work permits at North Portal with my nominatian letter, work permit support letter and job offer. And that's not the only time we went there for our work permits. SonI don't think you'll have any problems. But if you already applied for visitor status I think you have to get a response for that first. But you can always call them and ask, North Portal crossing.

HI! Me and my partner are in the same situation like yours! Would you mine if I ask what is your current status in here in Canada, because in our part we're already under restoration since Sept.2015.
