Hello Everyone,
I am a Canadian PR and I am getting married next month. I have a question around if my wife can join me here in Canada after marriage with a Visitor Visa when her PR is already in process? She already has a Visitor Visa.
I tried searching on Google and found that she can join me but we might have to submit extra documentation if she joins me here right after our marriage. I am also not sure what that extra documentation will be or there is a chance that her visit here might create problems when her PR is already in process. We are planning to submit her PR right after our wedding and this means her PR application will be submitted at her home country embassy. There can be a case where I may submit her application from here in Canada as sometimes getting marriage certificate and other documents takes time and I might have to come back here because of work. Did someone faced a similar situation?
I am hoping to get some answers to clear my confusion around this. We don’t want any troubles in her immigration process and seeking advice around it.
