No. Your visa approval has nothing to do with your relationship. You are a visitor and can stay up to 6 months or however long CBSA decided upon your entry.
There is no benefit of remaining on as a visitor if u separate so u need to anticipate having to return home after u visitor status expires.
You are not allowed to work.
You need a work permit to be allowed to work. To qualify for a work permit, you need a job offer from an employer in Canada and that employer needs the obtain an approved LMIA.
As of 28 August 2024, you can no longer change a visit visa to a work permit inside Canada. If you do get a job offer, you have to apply for a work permit from your home country.
