Can my parents apply for TRV and not a Super Visa?

Hello Senior Members,

I would like my parents to visit me early next year and would require a visa to enter Canada.

The situation is that they don't want to visit Canada for longer period of time nor they have any intention of taking Canadian citizenship or PR card at any stage.

My question to the senior members is that can they apply for TRV and not Super Visa? If yes, they plan to visit in April 2014, when should they apply for it? (process time in Pak is 79 days)

Also, I will be sending the following documents so they can submit with their application
- Invitation letter
- Proof of Employment/ Income
- Option C print out
- Copy of PR Card
- My family details
- Funds to support their stay

Anything else, I should be sending?

They can definitely apply for a TRV instead of the Super Visa...it's entirely up to them.

The only other things I would suggest they include with the application is plenty of proof of their ties to Pakistan (home ownership, proof of receipt of pension, family ties, etc.).
