Can my husband become a non resident?

Hi,

I'm a PR in Canada for almost 2 years now, my common law husband sponsored me.

For work and tax reasons he might need to become non resident in Canada. At the moment he is still a Canadian resident as he doesn't want to harm my PR status.

I've been trying to research this topic but can't find any answers.

Any thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated!

You're a pr. It no longer matters where your hubby lives only where you live. You must keep up with your ro so you don't lose your pr.
