I have been accepted by a university in Canada. I am preparing my application for Student Visa....

Can anyone tell me if my husband can submit his visa application along with my application...Previously this year, my husband had submitted our application for PR and due to the reduction in occupational codes, his file was declined. Will this have any impact on my application if we apply together?? What are the chances that we can travel together? Any other options???

Can anybody help????

Yes, in principle he can. You will have to show enough funds for ur stay there. But sine his application for PR was declined, this would probably have a -ve impact on ur application this time. CHC may feel that actually u want to settle there and since u could not get a PR, u r going under umbrella of Study Permit while ur intention is not study and that u r not gonna return.
I think its better if u apply without him, in the first place. You should find a way for him to join u later.

I'm not sure if they would be able eligible for dependent visa given that u r going on study permit. Clarify this point. I think u would need a work permit to call ur spouse as dependent because u would have to show funds to embassy.

dear kista

i'm sorry if i confused u by the term "dependent"
but i think my husband and my kid are naturally eligible to come with me to canada right?
(when i'm going on a student visa)
it is said so in their official website
but i'm not taking them with me
can't they join me later?
if yes, then hw much time is required 2 get their visa?

Indeed, they can join u. They would be actually applying for temporary resident visa or visitor visa. Processing time would be 1 to 3 months. See

thanks kista
one more thing...
what are the supplememtary documents that i'm supposed to attach with my our visa application so that it won't get rejected? from my part as well as my husband's part?
any letters? any properties such as land or shops? are parents and siblings strong ties?
if my husband get a letter from his employer stating that he can continue his work after my studies, will that be a strong tie for him?
if i get a letter stating that my course is essential for getting work in my home country and has excellent job opportunities, will that be a strong tie?
are there any other documents which makes my case strong?
my course is PhD in Food Science. Is my course strong? but there is a university here with the same course but more fees, less scholarships, no residence, poor student services. hw can i convince the visa officer this? should i provide any program brochures?
pls reply kista
thanks again and all the best for ur studies!
