I recently applied to sponsor my spouse but few months ago police came to me and took me to the station because they suspected me.... ( my uncle told me to go to the bank and deposit his cheque in an account...but apparently my uncles account was close so the whole thing was a fraud so now the police suspects that i knew everything but i still went to the bank and deposited the cheque for him. Anyways after going to the station.. the police never came back to me they told me that they will come back for me or send me a letter but nothing happened yet. Does this mean that I have a criminal record now ? And can immigration refuse my sponsorship ?
Can my application get rejected?

If they never formally charged you with anything, then no. CIC cannot see it and no background check will dig up the fact that you were questioned and then released.
