Can medical done for work permit be used for CEC application

Hi All,

My spouse was added to my CEC application after a later stage since my marital status changed.
After marriage she applied for spouse open work permit and was asked to under go medial.after which she got the work permit.
Yesterday i received a medical request from CIC for my spouse for the CEC application.

I replied CIC with the medical completion form which my spouse did about 5 months back asking if this medical can be considered but have not received any reply yet.

My question is will CIC accept medical done for work permit for CEC application too. Has anyone successfully done this before if yes kindly reply.

Don't wait. Because It's more likely that she'd require another medical.

Yes they will.. i asked my spouse to get pre-medical done for her SOWP, which also applied to our CEC PR application.

Thanks for the reply. Could you please explain in detail, like how you notified CIC about your spouse medical for CEC.
Have you checked the GCMS notes for CEC and your spouse has passed medical.
Does your ECAS shows spouse medical received

Because in may 2015 i mailed CIC my spouse medical and asked them to include it with CEC PR application.
But when i ordered GCMS notes in June her medical details were not included in CEC application and now they have requested medical for her.

Well we applied online for SOWP last week of Jan and after few days we got bio-metric request.. then second week of Feb we did upfront medical.. emailed CIC to the same email where i got my AOR from.. told them we have performed pre-medicals for our CEC PR and my wife's SOWP application.. gave them UCI and UMI#s and thats about it..

2 weeks later they confirmed results are received.. and another 7-10 later it showed online on our CEC PR profile that medicals are received.

something to note is.. my wife still got an email later requesting for medical for her SOWP application.. but within few hours she got a call from Canadian HC to ignore the email as they have her medical record on profile..

if CIC does not have the medical record on profile for your spouse.. just wanna know if they confirmed the receipt of medical to you when you had emailed them earlier? because i have an email from CIC verifying that medicals are received... pus what date you emailed them and what dates you ordered notes? this might just be due to that small gap between emailing and requesting notes.. like i requested my notes on aug 25 and got them on sep 25.. i paid rprf oct10th which ofcourse does not reflect as paid on my notes

Thanks for your reply. No earlier they did not confirm about receipt of my spouse medical. I replied them this time also it has been 5 days now, i will wait for couple of more days, hopefully they will reply.

i am in the same situation. MY Wife got the SOWP and did her medicals couple
Of months back. We both got the invitation and I am wondering if she needs to do another medical for her PR. Can you please share your experience. Did your wife need another medical or cic accepted the one you did for her work permit.
