Can internship be added to permanent job experience?

Hi, about internship problem
if I have
6 months full time paid internship(after graduation outside Canada)
then I got the job and worked 7 months in the same company
can I add them together and stated 11 months work experience(more than one year)?
I'm not sure about "one year minimum of continuous " condition that is required.

I think it should be counted if the paid internship was after your graduation and not part of your education.
