Can international students start a new business in Canada?

Hello everyone,

I'm currently an international student with off campus work permit. I'm thinking of start a new business in Canada myself. I'm graduating in 4 months and I wish to get everything ready then I can run my business right after graduation. Will I be eligible to do that? Thank you!

You need a partner who is a Canadian citizen or PR. You can't start a business on your own.

I think this does not apply if you are on OPEN post grad work permit and self-employed(working from home)?
