Quite a few others have "down-rated" this member's advice. He consistently offers very bad advice with a knowing air that might confuse newcomers to the forum as to the value (or lack thereof!) of his input. Additionally, he has some lovely ideas about how his visa-exempt partner's application should be processed more quickly than the applications of those from poorer countries. Pull up his posts. They speak for themselves.

As long as the payments are coming from a company located outside of Canada (like Taiwan), then it would be ok in his case to work online.

No not at all, apologies. I should have mentioned his name. But I can't believe jamesdavid keeps going at it again it's amazing he doesn't know he's entirely wrong.

You can take an online job so long as the pay cheques come from outside Canada since you are technically working for a foreign company outside Canada.

I am not wrong , I am just following other people who I know are still working once their IEC expires

I have found another message board anyway which just contains people who are the IEC Visa who have already applied for PR and 99% of them are still working even when their IEC expired..

They have told me for many reasons I shouldn't be talking to you all in here as you say the complete opposite which is in fact wrong information.

I don’t know if he is just plain ignorant or just likes to get a rise out of people….. ???

But the only real issue I have (besides the annoyance factor, but he’s easy enough to ignore), is what about newbies that take his advice at face value??

If anything it almost seems like he’s trying to get as many ppl’s Applications rejected as possible so his can be processed quicker??!? Who knows with some ppl…. ???

I’d say if anything he’s inviting some pretty bad karma to pay him a vist…let’s just hope his “advice” doesn’t get anyone into any trouble!!!

Its too bad that Canada Visa forum only list the number of plus under the profiles and never show the number of negatives, the newbies can't even look at his profiles to see his negatives until they post a few to realize that he is not one to take advice from.

It's really frustrating. I am just worried that anyone who takes advice from here (including my partner and me) is gonna get in trouble. It's sad, very sad! We were absolutely unaware of so many things, and it took us a long time to get a hang of things before we felt we could apply! I've noticed any of you senior members who really knows the stuff even proves him wrong.. It's so inconsiderable of him to do.
