Can I work in Canada for an American company as a Dutch citizen?

Hi guys!

I'm from the Netherlands, but I've lived in the US for the past 6 years. My F1 student visa has ended and so I'm in the process of getting a work holiday visa for Canada. I've been on OPT (Optional Practical Training) for the past year and my employee doesn't mind me working for them in Canada (I can work from home). Do y'all know if this is possible/legal?

Thanks,

Sef

an IEC permit is an open work permit so you could work for anyone, others will need to comment on the tax situation but guess that depends if paid still in the US.
