can i withdraw and reapply with same Ielts reports..

I really need to have a very serious advice from seniors. As if you will see my time line...

Documents Requested: 31st, Jan 2009
Documents Sent: 4th, May 2009
Till to date: No Reply

The issu is that i had a missunderstanding while submmiting the Dcuments about the IELTS score. I calculated my poits as 70 in total with

Age: 10
Exp: 21
Edu: 22
Spouse edu: 3
IELTS bAND: Speaking: 6.5, Writing. 6.5, Listning 6.5 and writing 7.5 with a over all band 7

Problem is that i calculated my IELTS score according to the new Ielts test score dated after 287, November, 2008. that is 14 in total But after submmiting my documents i come to know by the source of this forum that the people that have taken ielts before 28, november 08 will be awarded points according to the old ielts test report rule. according to old rule the total score is 10. In short according to this my total score would be 66. I also have cleaimed basic french profecency bec of my 2 month scource with alliance francaise. that i just considered as bonus but now i am doubtful that might be they will not consider this of my french score bec i have't done tef.

What is your advise that should i withdraw the application and apply according the new rule.i did my ielts on 24, july, 2008. it is valid? and what is your sufggestion to withdraw my application and apply again with new IELTS score rule with the same result or new IELTS exam.

Please advice me i am very much confued about the whole situation.

I am very much surprised to see your post cuzz you are the one who has been constantly encouraging people that Basic Proficiency in French can be claimed by taking course at Alliance and that you have evidence to prove that! Didnt you say that?? Now what is that thing that has put you in doubt that CHC wont award points for the course taken at Alliance????? My humble advice for you in your case would to withdraw your application only if CHC hasnt started processing it otherwise you will be in trouble.

Don't worry, according to the OP6 page 25, they will give you the higher score

Note: Visa officers should also assess applications and test reports which pre-date November 28, 2008,
against the above correlation table if it is to the applicants advantage, i.e., resulting in more points
for language proficiency.

They may also give you points for French if they are in a good mood.

Thanks A lot for your encourging post leon. i also have studied that OP 6 now and quite confident that i am out of risk now..........any ways thanks again for ur quick response.

Imran i am encourging people for 2 months cource in french not bec of my personal view or perception but one of my very close friend is actually teacher of french in some university and same as councler for higher education in france at alliance francaise. He is there in Alliance francaise for last 6 years and he is the person who encourged me for this idea and convinced be if you will ever be in danger for short of marks ...french cource for 2 months will deffinatelly pull you out in that situation. He gave me many exaples and even refered to few people who had french proficency but not any certificate to prove it. In this case immigration officers referd to them to go for this 2 months basic cources. Secondly he added me that even in any case immigration officer deffinately give extra weightage to applicants with french language bec every body go for IELTS bUT NOT FOR FRENCH AND IT REALLY REFLECTS YOUR LEVEL OF INTEREST FOR IMMIGRATION. hope u understand this factor.

Anyways all is in hands of God ...i pray for all of us to move ahead without any complexity or problem...
