Can i wait in canada for my PR on a visitor visa?? ugrent help!

hello

I need to find out if i am eligable to wait on my PR if i am only on a a visitor visa? I know i need to have status here but does a visitor visa count or is it just a work/study permit i can be here on?

Also can i leave canada and then come back while i am waiting on my PR?

It is always up to immigration if they give you a visit visa and for how long. While you are on a visit visa, you can stay in Canada. When it is about to expire, you can apply to extend or you can leave. If you are visa exempt or have a multiple entry visa, you can leave Canada and come back and again, on your return, immigration has the right to decide if they let you enter or not.

What visa is it?
Typically you need to apply for an extension of stay before the visa expires.
 
It will be a visitor visa. So i will need to apply for an extension of that so.

What happens if they refuse the extension, Can i stay in canada because i am awaiting my PR.?
 
If they refuse the extension, you must leave. If you mail your extension request instead of applying online, the processing takes longer. You may stay while you wait for an answer.
