Hello friends, I've received an ITA under the CEC, I've submitted all the necessary documents 2 days ago and I am now waiting on the decision. I'm currently still in Canada but I plan to wait for my PR decision with my family back in my country of birth. I didn't read anything on the IRCC website that would indicate a problem, but I'm still wary.
There are two things to note: I don't have any dependents, it's just me. I will also not have any status in Canada while I will be waiting in my home country since my PWGP will expire shortly after I arrive.
So here is my question:
1- Is it okay to wait for the PR decision while outside of Canada? (for as long as that might take, meaning I could be there for 6 months)
I also heard some people say once their application got approved they received an e-mail asking if they were in or outside of Canada and that I might have to apply for a COPR in my home country to be able to travel back to Canada and get my PR card, is that correct?
Thanks!
