The below is the duties.

Takes direction from the First and Second Cooks
Cleans, peels, and cuts fruits and vegetables
Assists in plating a variety of foods
Sets up and restocks function buffet lines and Vistas' Marche lines
Performs some light cooking as assigned

Best regards,
Thanks for help! :)

No. Your duties have to match the ones on the CIC noc.

Thank you sir, I thought i maybe have a chance since line cook, third cooks are considered as cook.
What about prep cook? I went to workbc website, and almost all prep cooks are posted as cook(6322) so i was thinking

I guess it could work or not then...

Thanks for opinion!

1. Your job sounds more like a kitchen helper NOC 6711 NOC level D

6711 Food counter attendants, kitchen helpers and related support occupations
Workers in this unit group include counter attendants, food preparers, kitchen helpers, food service helpers and dishwashers. Counter attendants and food preparers prepare, heat and finish cooking simple food items and serve customers at food counters. Kitchen helpers, food service helpers and dishwashers clear tables, clean kitchen areas, wash dishes, and perform various other activities to assist workers who prepare or serve food and beverages. They are employed by restaurants, cafes, hotels, fast food outlets, cafeterias, hospitals and other establishments.

Give yourself some time, get a promotion or apply for another job that would match 6322 and then reapply after a year.

Thank you!

I have a question, i see a lot of job posting about line cook position from restaurant chain,

Are they all illegible to apply as cook noc 6322? what about prep cook?

I keep hearing mixed information about applying as cook like some people say i have to be more than second cook, not just cook

There is a difference between a cook who cooks and a prep cook who does mis en place for the cook to cook. A prep cook is noc d.

Thanks again,!!

what about food chains like the link below? does this kind of job fall into cook noc code?

https://www.workbc.ca/Jobs-Careers/Find-Jobs/Jobs/Job-Posting.aspx?jobid=379625&from=Search

It's a cook position at Denny's restaurant

Regards,

6242 is a provincial noc not a federal one. Can't use it for EE

Workbc website only shows old version of noc code.

Just considering the job description, what do you think?

I told you already what I think. Your job description suggests NOC D. I also suggested you give yourself time and get a promotion or get a new job in 6322. Now if you ask me the same question in different ways, my thoughts will stay the same and I won't sugarcoat it and tell you what you want to hear. Then again, my thoughts don't matter. If you think you can play around with the system and get away with it to suit you, the system will play with you and reject you. It's your choice ultimately. I don't know in which other language should I type to make you understand better.

Hey you are misunderstanding,

I understand that pantry cook job will not work

on the above reply, I'm asking about cook job at denny's.....

That job description is also a prep cook not a cook who cooks so noc d
