Can I Use an Old Police Certificate for Previous Country of Residence?

Hi guys,
I am applying for PR through Express Entry. I am currently living in Canada and I used to live in Dubai for almost 4 years. i have a police clearance certificate from Dubai issued on December 2014 and it was valid only for three months. This certificate is issued later than the departure date of the last time that I resided in Dubai (I resided in Dubai until November 2012).
CIC website have this statement regarding to previous country of residence:
"For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the PC must have been issued later than the departure date of the last time the client resided in that country for more than six months."
Does this mean that based on the above CIC statement I can use my old police certificate?

You should apply a new one as soon as posible, that one no longger valid.

You can use the same PCC. It is valid till you again go back to live in Dubai.

your dubai pcc is good unless you go back and live there for six months and more. rule of thumb is you have to get pcc from the countries you have lived more then six months and more . except Canada . your Canadian pcc is valid for six months only.

I have a similar question: I got a Police Certificate at date "2009.01.15", then live in Canada from "2009.08.27" till now.
Since there is a 7-months gap between, do I need to get another police record?

If you lived till 8/26/09 in the same country from where you got the PCC on 1/15/09, you'll need a fresh PCC from that country as this PCC is no longer valid.

If you stayed in some other country between 1/15/09 and 8/26/09, you'll need a PCC from that other country as well because you presumably stayed there for 7 months in a row. In this case, that PCC issued on 1/15/09 is still valid provided you have not lived in this country after 1/15/09.

Thanks, I submitted my docs with the old police record....since I have to go back to my country to get the new police record myself....
