Hello,
I am asking this question on behalf of my cousin who just got a PR visa and has to visit Canada before November in order to get his PR status. Since, his PPR (passport request) came on such a short notice, he can't just leave his job right now and settle in Canada. Instead he plans to settle in Canada in the next year or two with a proper settlement plan for him and his family. However, in order to do so, he needs to visit Canada now and get his PR Card.
Since PR card takes about 6 weeks to come (time that he can't take off from work), I am wondering if its possible for him to land in Canada, get his landing papers, and go back to resume his work, while his PR card gets mailed to an address in Canada and we can then get it mailed to him (outside canada where he's currently residing).
If not, then what are his options of coming to Canada, getting a PR card and resuming his job outside Canada, WITHOUT taking 6-7 weeks off from work
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
