Can I take a full-time (off-campus) job while on study permit?

I was wondering If I can take a full-time job off-campus, while I am still on 2 years study permit in Canada. Has anyone done this in a lawful manner before?

You can work up to 40 hrs on scheduled breaks, otherwise max 20 hrs
