Can I support my Colombian girlfriend for her visa if she doesn't have the funds

I would like my girlfriend to come visit me in Canada for 6 months - a year. She doesn't have the finances but i will be supporting her. Can i put my bank statements in with the application and show that she is my girlfriend and i will be supporting her?

Yes - you can certainly do that.

However be aware that in order for her visitor visa to be approved, she will have to demonstrate that she has strong ties to her home country and has no plans on remaining in Canada long term (job, property, assets). She cannot stay that she wants to visit Canada for six months to a year. This is too long - and also makes it look like she has plans to live in Canada long term and is coming for more than just a visit (i.e. isn't a genuine tourist).
