Can I study TRADES in Canada as an international student?

Hello! I have been looking for TRADES programs in Canada but I heard that International students cannot get apprenticeship in Canada. Is this true? My first priority is to become a French teacher. I'll pass the DELF B2 exam in December. I need this French certificate to get enrolled in a College. But in case, I did not get good marks in DELF B2, I am thinking of a second option. I don't want to study Tourism or HRM or any other degree because these jobs are not in demand. I'd like to study TRADES or a program by which I can become a paramedic. What can I do to get into TRADEs programs? I am thinking of becoming a plumber. I am also interested in oil field jobs. What program is there for that?

Yes - it's true that international students generally cannot get apprenticeships. Apprenticeships are typically only open to Canadian PRs and citizens.

As an international student - no. You would need to become a permanent resident first.
