Can I still work while my OWP extension is pending ?

Hello everyone,

I sent an application for spousal sponsorship PR which included the open work permit.

my OWP was approved but only for a couple of months due to the expiry of my passport which I immediately renewed.

(I started working for a clothing store)

So my question is, can I legally continue working if my work permit expires while the application to extend it is in progress ?

Yes, you will have implied status as a worker and can continue to work.
