can i still sponsor my husband to Canada if i receive rental assistance? is rental assistance considered as social assistance or welfare? please help

You would have to contact your provincial government department that handles rental assistance, but in my opinion I would say yes this counts as receiving social assistance, as you are asking the government for money due to you not being able to financially support yourself 100%
