I lost my status as a temporary worker in Canada and had to stop working. I got an LMIA for 2 years from my employer and applied for a work permit to restore my status.
I got an approval letter stating "Your application to remain in Canada as a temporary resident has been approved. A secure document has been mailed to you at the address that you provided when you made your application. If you have not received your secure document within six weeks" It also states the validity of the permit is 2026/09/24 and "This letter is not valid for travel and is not a permit allowing you to remain in Canada."
Can I resume working or do I need to wait until I get the actual work permit?
