Can I start new job during spousal Open work permit extension

Hi All,

I have applied for extension of my SOWP.My SOWP expired on 10th Nov, before that I attended few interviews and cleared one of them. If I get offer from employer can I still eligible to work for them?
Please enlighten me on this.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
