Hi there. I finished a one year college program in August and my study permit was valid until November 31, 2021. I transferred to a new school and new program and because of delays with getting my letter of acceptance I was only able to apply for an extension about 2 weeks before my study permit expired. I know I am allowed to stay in the country while my study permit extension is processing but I cannot find any information anywhere about whether I can start my studies. My program starts in January and it doesn't look like I will be getting approved any time soon so I really need to know. I also have a job lined up the same time and was wondering if I’m allowed to do that while my extension is still processing. Please if you know anything I would really appreciate it.
