Hi everyone...looking for some advice in my situation....my apologies if this question has been asked before.

I am a PR of Canada for 2 years now and came here on spousal sponsorship. I would like to sponsor my parents for PR.

I am a student and not working currently - my spouse has been working for many years now. If he meets the income requirements and co-signs the application, will I be able to sponsor my parents? From what I have read, my spouse cannot sponsor my parents as CIC doesn't allow sponsoring of in-laws.

Yes, as long as co-signer meets all income requirements you can apply for lottery to sponsor your parents. You will still be sponsor, so only you must enter the lottery.

Thank you so much Rob_TO.

My spouse does meet all income requirements. His own mothers PR application is currently in process (2014 PGP applicant). Hopefully that doesnt change anything.

Then it does change the situation.
The family size however changed. Now in order to sponsor your parents the family size will be your couple (2)+any kids+your husband's mother (1)+your parents (2)

It's fine, it just means he need to meet income amount for past 3 years, with both his and your parents included in family size.
