Hi,

I’m just thinking if I can make small business in Canada legally.
I’m a Korean student graduated ESL school and will start studying at university on January. I am applying new study permit.

I want to sell Canadian brand to people living in Korea, and I will use Korean website to sell merchandise. Also, I will use my bank account in my country.

My question is
Can I make this business legally without work permit or off-campus work permit?
I do not do business to Canadian people and use bank account in Canada.

Strictly speaking if you are doing that while being in Canada you would be working working. In reality however if all communications are by email, and you send the payments from Korea to the supplier here, and you don't get involved in the shipping and logistics prior to export, there is no way to to know that you are operating the business from here.

Thank you for your response. I am going to use Canada Post to ship any things.
Is that will be a problem?

There is a postal worker strike. Do you consider delivery delays a problem?
