Can I schedule a medical exam before medical request?

Need to trek 4 hours up to Seoul to get a document from a foreign embassy for my application. CIC requested this document along with my AOR. Even though it hasn't been requested yet, I'm wondering if I can schedule my medical for the same trip? Will the panel physician accept the appointment or do I need the CIC letter to even get an appointment?

Not sure for Outland applications, but for inland applications you can’t do this - you have to wait for the request before doing medical.
