Can I renew my passport before travelling to Canada?

Hi long story short, I've just obtained my visa label (study visa) recently and thinking of renewing my passport before travelling to Canada for the first time (on this study visa). Would it cause any problem? My current passport will expire well before I finish my program, so I will have to renew it eventually maybe in Canada or back home.

And my visa will expire on the same date as my current passport. if I renew it and travel to Canada, will i be given a study permit with the new expiry date (enough to cover my entire program) or the it will remain the same as my visa/passport. Or maybe I shouldn't renew it and wait to do it in Canada?

You'll need to renew your study permit and TRV once you get your new passport anyways.

I am a bit confused here. I was told that I will get my study permit upon entering Canada, should I also renew my TRV before entering Canada if I decide to renew my passport? or Can I renew passport first, renew both study permit and TRV AFTER I've arrived in Canada?
