Can i reenter Canada while holding an implied status? (visa extension)

Hi everyone. I came to Canada as a visitor almost 6 month ago (25th of janaury) and 30 days before my expire date i send the application to extend my visa. So after the 25th of July i will be holding an implied status. My question is if i can go to New York for one week and then return here again ? or am i gonna loose my status and automatically refuse from any chances to extend my stay after leaving CAnada?

You should stay in Canada until they make a decision on your extension application otherwise you void your implied status.

You are only on implied status if you are in Canada.

When you leave Canada you lose that status.
