Hi Guys,

I really need some important information on this topic. I am a PGWP Holder (PostGradWorkPermit). I am a OCT AOR & have completed 3 months since. My eligibility & background is under review, I am at IP2 Stage.

I am planning to quit my job as I am getting good job offers in different fields i.e. NOC B & C. I wanted to know if I can go ahead and quit the job & switch to a new job sometime later, will it effect my PR Application?

I know there are other threads on this but I couldn't find a proper answer. Please help.

According to CIC, You can stay in Canada while waiting for your permanent residence as long as you maintain legal status. Temporary residentstatus is valid for a specific period of time and you must ensure that your status as a temporary resident remains valid while you are in Canada. Find out more about extending your stay.

My PGWP expires next year end.

If you don't have LMIA then you don't have a valid job offer.
Then what should I do in my case? I have an Open Work Permit which allows me to work 24/7. I have a NOC B job and I was invited under Canadian Experience Class in which one qualifies if the applicant has a minimum of 1 year work experience. I am working since the past 18 months, and I want to quit now as I do not like the environment I am in. Can I quit or not?
