Can I pick a different panel doctor? (Canada)

Hi guys,

I had a terribly unpleasant experience with the panel doctor I have seen a several days ago. Stories are long and personal, but I can tell you that he made me feel very uncomfortable and I felt violated during the evaluation process.

I know that my medical results such as x-ray and blood test should be fine, and I know I have nothing wrong with my health (as I do regular health check ups). However, because of such experience I have with the doctor, I don't feel comfortable moving forward with him. I already got the xray done with the requisition he gave me, and all I have left to do now is the blood test.
I also received the E-medical form with UMI number on it from this doc.

I also understand I don't want to complicate this medical process, but if things can be done by another panel doctor, I would like to do it that way.

Has anyone has the right information on this matter?

Please help.

Thank you..!

I think you can always request for another doctor either male or female from the same hospital or clinic to evaluate you. Normally they do provide you with a chaperone during examination if you request for one.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience.

It seems as if the examination has already been conducted.

If you don't have any health problems, I would suggest to use the medical you already have. It is not the doctor's job to evaluate your medical admissibility to Canada, rather CIC will take the report by your doctor and evaluate it themselves.

Sorry to hear about this. But if you only need the blood test left to complete, then the staff will most likely do the blood draw, and hopefully the doctor won't be involved with interacting with you.

Unless just being in his presence or clinic is an issue.
