Can I not send passport directly to Ottawa, Canada for stamping?

Hi All,

I am currently in the US and applied for a Canadian visitor visa. I have recently got my visitor visa application approved and I am asked to send the passport for stamping.

Question - Where should I send the passport for quickest processing? I am asked to follow this link

The link says

Option 1- Send passport to Visa processing center at Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Option 2 - Send passport to VAC New York
Option 3 - Send passport to VAC Los Angeles.

Is there any problem exercising Option 1 and not having to send it to any VAC within the US? Can any one share their experience if any?

Hi Abhijit, what did you do finally? I also have to send my passport, not sure where to send it.
