Can I move to Canada...?

Hi All
I have property that I am planning to sell I should be able to secure at least 300K USD. Can I use this earnings to get a RP to live in Canada...? If yes how soon will the process take..? If NO what are the other alternatives. By background is self employed for the past 7 years. Hi All

Yes, you can sell a property in your name and make sure you deposit this money or atleast a part of it in a bank account.
You can use the bank certificate and bank statement to show Proof of funds (POF) required for Canada immigration based on the no. of dependents in your family. The whole PR process can take anywhere between 6 months to 18 months depending on your CRS points score.

You'll have to research Canada's immigration programs to see which ones you qualify for. You can find this information here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

$300K isn't enough money to qualify for the Ontario investor class and the Federal investor class is closed at this time (you don't have enough funds for that one anyway). But there are other programs you might qualify for. You'll have to research to find out.
