Hello

I am a new Canadian Citizen. I would like to file sponsorship for my parents as permanent residence in 2016. However I guess it takes a while to process the file. My parents are aging and supervise is not an option for me. So in this case, I need to go and stay with them till the file gets processed.

So Can any one tell me if I leave Canada after filing sponsorship for my parents, will that effect the application? Also, do I need to maintain minimum specified income level after filing the application till it gets processed?

Thanking you.

Yes - you need to maintain LICO after the application has been submitted - until processing has been completed. This LICO must come from Canadian sources (i.e. from a job in Canada).

You can certainly go on vacations outside of Canada while the application is being processed. However you must continue living in Canada (making it your primary home) while the application is being processed and until it is finalized. Leaving Canada to live elsewhere is ground for having the application refused.

If you need to return to your home country to live with your home parents - don't bother submitting a PR application for them. It's going to be refused.
