Can I leave Canada 5 months before expiry of my Open Work Permit and come back?

Hi All,
I recently quit my job. Before applying for new job I wanted to go back home for 3-4 weeks since I have not been home for over 4.5 years.

Do you guys think I could be denied entry if I am unemployed on Open work permit?

I have valid work visa with multiple entry and I also have express entry profile in pool with 473 points.
My visa and work permit expires in June 2017.

It's OWP so you are allowed to quit your job whenewer tou want. I don't think you may have any problens while crossing the border. Don't forget about eTA.

I am planning to go to India. While coming back what do I tell Border officer when he ask me what I do for living in Canada? I am currently unemployed.
