Can I leave and re-enter Canada before my replacement PR card arrives?

My wallet/PR card was stolen so I have applied for a replacement card. I have a trip planned to the US in October. If my replacement card does not arrive in time, can I still leave Canada?
My only other forms of ID are my current Australian passport, credit card and temporary BC Drivers License (the yellow slip of paper as they cannot issue me the physical drivers' license until I show the licensing centre my PR card as proof of ID).
I will be returning via private vehicle.
My previous/stolen PR card is now expired.
I'd really appreciate any advice.

Assume you return to Canada via a land border, yes, you can still leave Canada. You can use your other forms of ID.

Thanks for the response. I should've noted that my old (stolen) PR card is now expired. Does that change things?
Yes I'll be crossing at a land border.
