Hi folks, I am being sponsored for Canada via spousal non-Quebec (moving to Ontario). However we live in Vermont only a 50 minute drive to Canada near Quebec/Montreal border. Am I allowed to "land" in Quebec by road even though I am not moving there? We always cross into Quebec on our way to Ontario because it is the nearest crossing and the border crossing to Ontario is out of our way (about 5 hours out of our way!)

I just want to make sure this wouldn't be an issue. Thanks!

Yes - you can land in Quebec. Make sure you provide a non-quebec address for the mailing of your PR card.
