I am having basic qualification in Commerce. Eventually i shifted to IT field. I have passed CISA and CSQA and working in IT field. Is it possible for me to immigrate to Canada and get job.

Is it essential that your basic qualification and your area of work should match?

To see if you're qualified to immigrate as a skilled worker, you should take the online assessment:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp

No, it doesn't matter that your qualifications and work don't match. But the work you performed must qualify as Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A/B on the Canadian National Occupation Classification (NOC).

Check,

Please check wat thai says he is our guru here....it is correct that ur education background and ur job profile mismatch will not affect the application but as thai said ur job must fall in the NOC catagory.

Have a good one.All the best.
