I'm a PR without permanent address in Canada. My mail gets forwarded for the time being until our family can move to Canada.
Can I get a SIN if I do not yet have a permanent address, only a mail forwarding address? Thanks!
Sure. For a SIN, you really just need proof of PR or citizenship. You get your SIN number on the spot. A card will eventually get mailed to the address you provide, but all you really need is just the number.
Does that also apply to creating a company? I mean, can I already create a company now so that as soon as the whole family moves we're all set up and ready for Canadian life?
