Hi, Does anyone know if you can extend your open work permit with critical worker pnp certificate from PEI

if your nomination is employer restricted, then you can apply for PNP closed work permit

if not, you can apply BOWP, provided you have AOR and within 4 month of expiry of your current WP

What is AOR, how to get it?

As far as I know, you receive a file number around 3 months after applying to PR with oipnp certificate.

Please throw some more light on this.

AOR is Acknowledgement of Receipt. you should receive it 3 months after application in a email with a file number and statement of R10 compliant, which also indicates you are now eligible to apply BOWP

Yes, you employer has to fill LMIA exempt form and pay approx. $250 and you will get employer closed work permit.

if you already have PR file number, you don't need LMIA exempt.

Hi Guys,

I have been nominated recently by OINP. Right now, I'm on implied status and My current work permit application is LMIA based work permit. I asked CIC, if I can use the same application for PNP work permit. But CIC person, said I can't use the same application. Also, I must apply 4 months before my current a valid work permit expires. So, I'm wondering if my work permit will get rejected. Anyone came across this situation? Please share your experience.
