Can I extend my study permit from my back home Bangladesh?

Hi there,
I'm Sajid Hasan. I have a Question. Can I extend my study permit outside of Canada I mean from my back home? Actually I came Canada for high school grade 12 in October 2022. I got my Study Permit valid till 26th October 2023 and my TRV will expire in 31st December 2023. Now I have completed my high school program. I got my final transcripts. I'm waiting for my OSLT it will come in June. So, How IRCC will count my high school program completion in march or June? I got an LOA letter in January 2024. If I extend my study permit with that it will show gap for 9 months if they count my high school completion in March and 6 month gap if they count as june because I will get my OSSD certificate in July and I can't gap my study for 150 days if I do I will loose my status.
What should I do?

You can only extend a study permit inside Canada. When did you complete your program because usually study permit is cancelled 90 days after completion of program.

Hi,

Only TRV extension can be done either from inside or outside of Canada. Permits need to be applied/obtained and renewed/extend inside Canada.

No such thing as a TRV extension outside Canada. You apply for a new TRV. If in Canada, you apply for a visitor record if you want to remain in Canada.

If I apply inside from Canada then, can I travel to my backhome while it's in processing. Another thing I have my TRV for Multiple Entries and it will be expired in 31st December 2023, so when I get the study permit can I travel to my backhome and can I enter again in Canada with that Visa in August 2023?

No such thing as a TRV extension outside Canada. You apply for a new TRV. If in Canada, you apply for a visitor record if you want to remain in Canada.

I do not need to enlighten myself. You apply for a new TRV. There is no such thing as applying to extend a TRV outside of Canada.

You apply for a new TRV no TRV extensions. When did you finish your studies? Assume December or February. Why not apply for a new study permit right now from Bangladesh? I sounds like you have an LOA from university or college and have the transcripts from your high school. Have you been provided with proof of graduation or could you be provided with proof of graduation from your high school? Are you required to have the official Ontario transcripts versus using the official transcripts from your high school? The wait time to get approval for a study permit extension and for a study permit can be quite long and a large proportion of students apply to start in September so there is increased demand on the system at that time which also affects wait times. If you are coming to Canada to attend your graduation ceremony you can also consider flagpoling if you can go to a land border and you verify if and when they are accepting flagpoling applications.
