Can I extend my study permit a second time?

Hi all. I extended my study permit for the first time in October 2020 and it got extended until March 2021 since I had planned on finishing my studies by December 2020. However, due to some undesirable circumstances, I had to drop my term and I have now resumed my studies again. However, I don't think I will finish my studies by March. Can I apply for an extension of my study permit a second time? Are there any chances of refusal? I currently have my visit visa application in process. Can I apply for SP extension while having another application in process or should I wait for the decision on my visa application and then apply for SP extension?

Is it a TRV you applied for?
You can go ahead and apply for extension, now your extension will depend on several factors, why are you extending etc.
Visa officers will see transcripts, be ready to submit an LOE explaining the reasons for your extension.

Also, are you gonna apply for PGWP later?
