Can I extend my incomplete PGWP after it expires?

I only received 8 months out of the 36-month validity period of my PGWP because my passport was expiring. My PGWP is set to expire on March 10, 2025. I have applied for a new passport, but it is still being processed, and I am unsure if I will receive it before my PGWP expires.

Can I apply for a PGWP extension after the expiry date (March 10, 2025), once I receive my new passport?

What are my options to avoid falling out of status?

You would be out of status and cannot work until extension is approved. You would have to restore status to worker and file application to extend permit.
