Can I enter Canada on a visitor visa while having a COPR?

Hello,
I am curently working in Seattle on a H1b visa. I have a valid Canadian visitor visa and recently got my COPR as well. Is it possible to enter Canada border using my visitor visa instead of COPR?

This will be a temporary visit to Canada. I do not want to immigrate or “land” on COPR until I transition my job and I do not want the PR/ citizenship clock to start now and hence the question.

This was definitely possible pre-COVID. I don't know if it's still possible now or if something has changed.
