Are needing time to settle in and buying a laptop, getting a new apartment etc valid reasons for entering Canada 2 months before studies start?

You should be OK. Make sure you have the extra funds to support yourself during this time. You won't be able to work until you start your studies.
Thank you for the fast response! Yes, given anyways 2 weeks are subtracted from those 2 months I wanna get settled in, get a new apartment, furniture, laptop and so on. Thank you!!
No problem. I think two months / 8 weeks early is the maximum you would want to try. Don't come any earlier.
