I got my IELTS scores online but it has been a month and the British Council has not sent me my certificate. However I don't want to wait for them to send me my certificate. Can I write the date that my IELTS results appeared online as date of test results and then edit it later if after I received my certificate I found it different?

I believe you can make as many changes as you want in your EE profile.
But don't change the NOC cause that is seen as a serious change in your file log.
