Hi can I drop my husband from my EE profile to get a higher CRs point, so that once I get my PR I can apply for him under family class.. he never visited Canada, though am here for 4 years. I know its kinda weird question, but really frustrated sitting at 442 from 2015 January and am approaching my 4 years cumulative stay in Canada in another 6 months.

I will try to find it and post the link, but I can remeber when I was in almost the same situation, I read something that you are not able to sponsor anybody within some years after getting PR, and even I remeber that s was specially the case when it was a family member, and your husband? I should be very carefully to do so.
Try to keep the link posted.

lots of information here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-who.asp

I don't know your situation, so decide yourself if it is a good way to get your Pr faster.

Good luck.

yes you can drop your spouse to increase your points. once you get PR card then you can apply for spouse. spouse visa processing time is 17 months. during this time he can visit you on TRV if allowed. no other complications. I believe you should go for increasing your points by keeping spouse as not accompanying. that is better than just waiting and letting it go..

I understand how you feel, try everything you can, PNP, LMIA etc. My spouse has a masters and good IELTS score and it did help a lot!

Understand that even if you list him as non-accompanying, he will need to provide documents including the police clearances and the medical exam, to enable you to sponsor him later...

Yes right, but if she put him as non-accompanying then her CRS score will increase (provided spouse is not claiming any points for education/language test). Suppose CRBT increases by 15 points that means ITA in month or so. Otherwise she is waiting only..

You can definitely drop your spouse, but I would do that as a last option. Has your spouse scored the highest possible in IELTS? If not, let him retake it to boost your points. If he has not done ECA as well, let him go for it. Do you mind sharing how much points out of the allotted 40 your spouse is currently giving you?

Thanks for all the responses...

My husband don't have any higher education and he is not good in English, which in turn gives 0 points out of 40 points for spouse. I know I can drop him and its perfectly okay to provide medicals and police clearance certificates for him. Of course am considering it as a last option and preparing my OINP application and retaking CELPIP to get CLB 9 in all modules, right now my CELPIP score is L12 R11 W8 S8, so I can get some points if get CLB 9 in all modules.

I really want to apply together with my spouse, but as a last option, I was thinking about this. But I want to make sure that I can sponsor him immediately after I get PR..

Will CIC question the genuineness of application if I say that my husband is not accompanying me?
